First JOFR summer camp 2020 with Jack Carthy
Games, fun and trials – this was the motto of the first summer camp again this year
„Jack Carthy is here for the summercamp…“
… this sentence was rapped loudly on the final evening of our first summer camp. In addition to the training, a varied program was on the agenda again this year. For example the motto of the last day was “Team – Challenges” and the guys competed against each other in teams throughout the whole day.
But the real reason why the eight boys came was trials riding, which is why the multiple world champion and trial star Jack Carthy came from Great Britain, too. After the initial shyness of her idol was overcome, the kids started to ride, jump and conquered many obstacles. So they thawed more and more and the language barrier was quickly overcome.
In total, the boys spent four whole days at the JOFR Academy. Over the entire time they were full of energy and zest for action. They even rushed to eat so that everyone could quickly get back on their trial bike and continue training. But also the mountain bike tires were made to glow and the kids dipped as deep as possible in the outdoor pool. All this led to the fact that at the end of the camp not only the boys drove home k.o. but happy, but also our two coaches Jonas and Jack.
